POLY-PHASE PHANTOM LOAD: MODEL 472
3 Phase, 4 wire 240V / 415V 50Hz + Earth
3 phase 10A circuit breaker used to protect the unit.
Neon indicators indicate which phase is live
Output configuration is switchable from star to delta.3 phase, 4wire star 240V / 415V nominal.
Maximum out is 0.7A, 160VA.
The output voltage is controlled by 3 “Variacs”, and is adjustable from 0-110%.
The output is not isolated from the mains supply.3 phase, 3 wire delta 110V nominal.
In this configuration the output from the 472 is isolated from the mains supply.
The N terminal is earthed to chassis and mains earth.
The output of VA and VC terminals is 110V nominal with respect to the N terminal.
The output voltage is controlled by 2 “Variacs” and is adjustable. -
PORTABLE PD TESTER: MODEL 832B
For portable PD testing applications the model 832B is supplied with a number of sensors which allow PD activity to be detected in the equipment assets that are vital to the utility.
The lightweight 832B has a laptop PC which displays PD activity in magnitude scale to assist engineers to determine the maintenance requirements needed to prevent deterioration.
As standard, the 832B comes with the ability to monitor three separate PD and noise channels which can be monitored individually or simultaneously. The three noise channel inputs are provided to monitor ambient electrical influences outside the PD spectrum and can be used to gate PD signals during high noise
events. The 832B unit is expandable to four channels as with the 840U below.
Buffered PD signal outputs are also provided for PD waveform
observation with an oscilloscope. -
PT TESTER: MODEL 590D-1
This is an accessory to the model 590G-V2 and is used to
perform full load testing of inductive PTs. It has a high power switch mode ( typically 1.2kW ) source for full load performance testing of PTs under simulated load conditions to 0.1% accuracy. It uses the existing measuring and processing functions of the 590G-V2 in combination with its own processor controlled monitoring and interface systems.
Communication between the two units is via a serial link. The 590D-1 unit is the interface between the 590 model series and the inductive PT under test.
The 590D-1 measures:–
Primary & Secondary winding resistance.
Secondary winding admittance with primary short circuited.
Primary winding admittance calculated from turns ratio.
Turns ratio and no load voltage ratio.
Secondary admittance with primary open circuit. Finally the microprocessor calculates the PT errors at 6 test points from the measurements taken.
These test points are typically taken at 25% and 100% of the burden rating over 80%, 100% and 120%
of rated voltage.
The 590D-1 comes with these default or standard test points already preset / programmed but the
operator is also able too add their own set of custom test points to suit via the 590C/G or G-V2 model. -
QUAD AMMETER: MODEL 4014
The Model 4014 integrates four ammeters for the direct and simultaneous reading of 4 CT secondaries up to 10A during the setting up or checking of protection systems while they
are in service with normal 50/60Hz primary currents flowing. The two terminals of each channel of the Model 4014 are connected in series with the CT secondary with all other equipment in the loop or directly across the CT secondary.
The unit can be mains powered or run off its internal Ni-Cad battery which can last from 8 to 10 hours.
To re-charge, simply reconnect to mains power via an IEC power cord. -
REFERENCE CT: MODEL 590-RT
Our 590 reference CT is a valuable multi-tap reference platform for the calibration and accuracy of our 590 series of CT Testers.
Multiple primary turns are fitted to increase accuracy for testing
low ratio CTs.
The error of a reference CT is very dependent on the ratio
selected for testing. These are not electronically compensated
and have errors that are better than 0.01% for higher ratios. The reference CT comes in a rugged pelican case with a selectable
tap switch and terminal posts for connection. -
SINGLE PHASE METER TESTER: MODEL 471
The Model 471 is a fully digital kWh meter tester, with an in built 30 Amp phantom load ability. A digital signal processor performs all of the energy calculations and measurements and a separate processor board facilitates parameter entry and results display.
SUPPLY VOLTAGE RANGE: 220V to 270V, 50Hz/ 60Hz
CURRENT INJECTION: 30A, 20A, 15A, 10A, 5A, 2A, 1.5A, 1A, 0.5A
The currents can be injected at Power Factors of: 1.0, 0.86 lag or 0.5 lag, selectable on the LCD screen.
Energy measurement accuracy is 0.05% over the following ranges:
220V-270V. 0.5A-30A. 1.0PF to 0.86PF lag. 48Hz to 52Hz, or 58Hz to 62Hz.
